Nyungwe National Park is one of the largest and most biodiverse rainforests in Africa, located in the southwestern part of Rwanda. The park is known for its rich biodiversity, including over 13 species of primates, such as chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, as well as a vast array of birds and plant species. It covers an area of approximately 1,020 square kilometers and is an essential part of Rwanda’s conservation efforts. Nyungwe also offers a network of hiking trails, canopy walkways, and birdwatching opportunities, making it a prime destination for eco-tourism and nature lovers.
